Microneedling creates micro-injuries upon the skin, thus stimulating microcirculation which causes the skin to naturally regenerate. Each micro-injury sends a signal to the brain telling it to heal and repair the skin that was micro-damaged. For instance, microneedling is great for stimulating the body’s natural wound healing processes, resulting in cell turnover and increased collagen production, therefore reversing as well as preventing signs of aging, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and so much more!
After the procedure, the client is given a special aftercare product, along with detailed instruction for use.
Microneedling is a skin treatment that involves using a mechanical needling device. This device contains tiny, sterilized needs which are called micro-needles. These micro-needles break down old scar tush and encourages skin cell generation. As the skin creates new layers of elastin and collagen, the skin will begin to have better blood flow and glow!
I take my passion very seriously! I just love what I do, and I love to further my education on all things beauty and permanent makeup. For that reason, I have traveled across the globe to learn leading permanent makeup techniques that I know my clients would love. For instance, check out Elaine Campin, Zoe Hughes, Aniela Korabinka, Olena Oliynyk, Mary Richardson and finally; Teryn Darling; these are just some of the pmu professionals that I’ve trained with.
There are two different ways to accomplish the microneedling technique. One, a dermaroller which is manually operated or secondly, a machine. While, for Nano Needling & Powdered Brows, I like to use a machine by FK IRONS & pigments by Tina Davies. There are other permanent makeup artist that may have a totally different of product line & tools that they use.
Those looking to treat deep wrinkles, stretch marks, or scarring, may need multiple microneedling treatments. To ensure the safety of your skin, treatments are usually spaced out four weeks apart. This time period allows your own body to repair and rejuvenate before the next treatment.
We will determine the problem areas you are concerned about and the best method in which to proceed.
During the treatment for your comfort we will apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area. Then we will apply a light layer of hydrating serum to lubricate your skin. The process typically takes less than 30 minutes, and afterward, your skin will be red, similar to a sunburn.
Skin may appear red for a few days after your initial treatment. This is perfectly normal; It may also feel like a sunburn-which is normal. Typically you will feel “normal” and back to yourself approx 3-4 days after treatment. Slight peeling may occur.
